Dipper Showing Candy His New Journal

"Do you like the cover?"

Five years ago today, the Disney Channel premiered the first episode of Gravity Falls, and in commemoration of this anniversary, I've drawn up a picture that had been scratching at my mind for a few months now. Inspired by a similar picture by fellow Gravity Falls fan-artist Markmak, this fanart is also based on a possible fanfic idea of mine. Set before the birthday party at the end of the series finale, it would have Candy admitting to Dipper she actually still admires him (possibly even still having a crush on him) after seeing how brave he was during the events of Weirdmageddon. This leads to the scene pictured above, in which Dipper shows Candy his new journal that he's taking home with him, which he mentioned at the end of the defictionalized Journal #3. It's a pretty simple drawing, but I really like how it came out, and I hope my fellow Gravity Falls fans like it as well.
