Artist's Comments
It's quite surprising that, in the nineteen years I've existed and watched Disney cartoons, I had never once seen "The Three Caballeros", despite the fact that it had been available in all of Disney's video collections of their movies. Sure, I had seen the "House of Mouse" episodes and read Don Rosa's comic sequel, and even seen the clips in the "Mickey Mouse Disco" music video, but I never got around to actually watching the actual film. Until earlier this week, that is; we stopped off at the local Hollywood Video to rent "Superman II", and I ended up renting "The Three Caballeros" as well. I should admit that, while most of the music-and-dance numbers were almost sleep-inducing, I enjoyed seeing Donald again, and it was nice to see José and Panchito as well. So I figured I might as well draw a screenshot of the trio, and that's what you see here.
